Backstreet Boys “DNA World Tour” w/ Baylee Littrell
Backstreet Boys “DNA World Tour” with special guest Baylee Littrell at PNC in Raleigh, NC
I do this of course because it’s a trip. No conceivable goals except to collect positive experiences. Making huge investments along the way in time and money. Don’t let anybody convince you that the media is “getting in for free”. Well, maybe the Media is, but the workers, us guys and gals are investing thousand$ and thousand$ into software / hardware / petrol / time, sacrificing relationships…
All for the trip. I’m into spectacles. Especially specular spectacles, and this fit the bill.
Hey, you can tell the Backstreet Boys have been practicing. Very tight choreography covering all the angles. Good audience engagement and a few little jumps for us action photographers.
It was a sweet deal. Great lighting..even a little smoke and some fireworks in the first three tunes in which we were allowed for our coverage.
We were “shooting from the pit” which means we would be close to the stage. But the stage that we were close to wasn’t to be used for the first three for the Backstreet Boys. Brian Liittrell’s (of Backstreet Boys), 16 year old son Baylee Littrell did use this portion of the stage to open the show, but as for the BBs, we were a little distant from the headliners.
I brought my Canon 70-200 2.8 as I usually do to catch some portraits from the pit, but at this distance it was the essential piece of hardware. Thinking that we would be close, I brought the Canon 24-70mm 2.8 and the 16 – 35mm 2.8 lenses, but they were pretty friking useless this night. Oh well.
