Phish at the Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek in Raleigh

Fortunately, I had a chance to photograph Phish last night at the Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek in Raleigh. We were given a straight 15 minutes, and that went fast. It was another hot night, but you didn’t notice it much as the crowd lifted the spirits up and out of the common place, into the heavy humid air,  swirling around and bouncing in between our ears through the evenings blissful performance.  
_MG_0178The sun was setting as things took off creating a blistering fill of light that was almost too hard to manage from a photographer’s emotional point of view. I adjusted my camera settings at a shutter speed of 1/400 at F4 with an ISO of 500, then as the sun set with the 15 minutes whirling by, I finished up at 1/250 at F2.8 at an ISO of 1000.
_MG_0214-EditThis night I settled on things more civil so I brought the Canon 70-200mm 2.8, and the 24 -70mm 2.8. But to add a little flavor I included the Canon fisheye lens as well.
