Rick Springfield Plays Red Hat Amphitheater with Night Ranger and the Romantics

This was a good shoot…except. Except…I should of counted them, about 30 giant bass speakers were in the photo pit.SP-27Which means you had to pick your position and stay there…it was so crammed, your feet couldn’t point forward. Then, I might be mistaken, but there were other folks in the pit…intruders, outsiders, strangers…maybe from the meet and greet…taking photos the best they could. SP-22Which is fine, as long as they don’t mind me body slamming them when I need to crawl to another position without using my useless feet.

SP-7A very nice looking meet & greet lady seemed surprised by my elbow.  It appeared the staff didn’t warn them at the meety greet.
SP-3However each band worked it as hard as they could, giving us all great shots. I noticed something with this tour, every band member and all the roadies were happy and laughing. First time I’ve seen a whole tour in great spirits. -Something right is happening from the top down.
SP-23How I photographed this: I used the three 5D Mark II bodies with the Canon 70-200 2.8, 16-35 2.8 and a 14mm 2.8 lenses. SP-20
