An awesome show. The musicianship of this band was steller, and the light show…well that took me..out there.
Put this band on your NOT TO MISS list! Turn Out, Tune In and Turn On. Move around a little if you can. Up close I was digging the jam, but from that vista I couldn’t fully appreciate the light show which is seen more properly from a distance. Well worth the effort to move around to take it all in. Actually, my recommendation is to be everywhere at once. This is mandatory.
The two lenses that worked the best here were the Canon 24-70mm with a shutter speed of 200 at 2.8 and an ISO of 1600 and the Canon 70-200mm with settings the same. As you can tell, the lighting was everywhere, so keeping the camera in manual is the only way to go. My workflow includes Lightroom Classic and this kind of shoot puts me in slider mode. No rules here. Rules don’t work. I am starting to play with split toneing when the exposures are off the charts. This is an interesting feature I’ll be exploring deeper.
